Technological implementation of a photonic Bier-Glas cavity

چکیده

In this paper, we introduce a novel quantum photonic device, which term Bier-Glass cavity. We discuss its fabrication and functionality, is based on the coupling of integrated In(Ga)As dots to broadband cavity resonance. By design, device architecture uniquely combines Purcell enhancement micropillar structure with mode shaping vertical, tapered waveguide, making it an interesting candidate enable efficient extraction entangled photon pairs. detail epitaxial growth heterostructure necessary lithography steps approach GaAs-based height exceeding 15 $\mu$m, supported pedestal that can be as thin 20 nm. present optical characterization, confirms presence resonances, in conjunction amplified spontaneous emission single photons.
